Bennie E. Summy, 70, of  Smithshire, IL, died Saturday, March 4, 2023 at his home. He was born September 21, 1952 in Grantsville, MD. He was the son of Eli J. and Fannie (Lee) Summy.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 1 sister and 1 grandson. He is survived by his wife, Sadie (Beachy) and 7 children; Eli (Laura) of Vienna, IA, Ruth (Noah Fisher) Meyersdale, PA, Daniel (Ruth) of Kinsman, OH, David (Betty) of Roseville, IL, John (Vernie) of Argyle, WI, Simon (Ruth) of Argyle, WI, Sarah (Simon Lee) of Roseville, IL. Also, stepmother Amanda (Zook) 1 sister, 2 brothers and 25 grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 785 15th Street Smithshire, IL. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 802 15th Street, Smithshire, IL. Interment will be in the Roseville Amish Church Cemetery, Roseville, IL. Wise Family Funeral Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.
