Bernice M. Richardson, 97, of Alexis, IL passed away Tuesday May 31, 2017, 4:40 a.m. at the Hope Creek Care Center East Moline, IL. She was born Thursday February 5, 1920, in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Albert and Edna (Snodgrass) Taylor. She married Eldon N. Richardson in Rozetta, IL on August 31, 1935. He preceded her on December 18, 2011.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters Dixie (Larry) Smith of Woodhull, IL, and Nora Frost of Alexis, IL; one son Larry (Pat) Richardson of Moline, IL; 4 grandchildren: Teresa Smith (Jean), Denise & Brad Richardson, Leah Jacobs (Jason); great grandchild: Lucas Eldon Jacobs; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, and sisters.
She was raised and educated in Indian Grove and Monmouth, IL. She was a homemaker, cook, and a part time custodian at Yorkwood School, retiring June 1992.
