Betty R. Whitehall

Betty R. Whitehall, 93, of Monmouth died 12:25 A.M. Friday. June 12, 2015 at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth. She was born October 2, 1921 in Belmont in Henderson County, Illinois the daughter of Edward and Viola (Brock) Meehan. She was reared and educated in the Belmont and Seaton areas. She graduated from Seaton High School. Betty married George Whitehall in Burlington, Iowa on January 8, 1941 and he preceded her in death on December 29,2011.

Betty was a Licensed Practical Nurse and Homemaker. Her family was her main interest. She was a member of the Monmouth Rebekah Lodge #22. Her family includes three daughters, Janet (Bill) Robertson-Hart of Monmouth, Judy (David) French of Lehigh Acres, FL and Joyce (David) Martin of Logansport, IN; two sons, Ed (Pat) Whitehall of Lehigh Acres, FL and Steve (Sara) Whitehall of Mattoon, IL; 13 grandchildren, 21great-grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and one sister, Violet Leonard of Aledo, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Joan Unger, granddaughter, Shelly Logdson and great grandson, Shawn Jewitt.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Hoover-Hall Wise Family Funeral Home, Monmouth. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, June 15, 2015 at the funeral home where her family will be present one hour prior to the services for visitation. Memorials may be given to Monmouth Nursing Home.

Friends may call on Tuesday morning, June 16, at Hoover-Hall Wise Family Funeral Home. Family will be present one hour prior to the service.
