Carol Mae Lighthart, 80, of Bushnell, died 2:06 P.M. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at McDonough County Hospital, Macomb.
She was born October 1, 1932, the daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Button) Kalb. She was raised and educated in Roseville, where she graduated from Roseville High School. She attended nurses training and was a Registered Nurse.
Carol married Jack Fredrick Lighthart.
She worked at West Lake Hospital in Melrose Park, IL and at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg. She enjoyed cooking.
She was Christian faith.
Her family includes, one son, Steven Lighthart and one daughter, Susan Bonder both of Bushnell, two grandchildren, Jennifer Mae Weter and Paul Joseph Weter, two sisters, Lois Beard of Roseville and Linda (Bob) Miller of Montgomery, IL and three brothers, Duane (June) Kalb of St. Augustine, IL, Theodore (Liz) Kalb of Lebanon, PA and William (Gerry) Kalb of West Burlington, IA along with nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has been accorded. There will be a Celebration of Life from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Roseville Christian Church, Roseville, IL. Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left at hooverhall.com.
