Cecil E. Miller

Cecil E. Miller, 96 of Alexis, IL passed away September 4, 2020 at the
Monmouth Nursing Home Monmouth, IL.  He was born July 31, 1924 in
Oxly, MO, the son of Elbert and Eva (Martin) Miller.  He married Ruby
M. Kick on September 27, 1941 in Ripley County, MO.; she preceded him
in death on September 9, 2012.

He is survived by his children, Juanita Holloway, Evelyn (Gary)
Simkins and Dick (Linda) Miller all of Alexis; 19 grandchildren, 43
great grandchildren and 27 great-great grandchildren; one sister,
Karen Parks of Corning, Arkansas, two daughter-in-laws, Linda Ann Miller
of Alexis and Linda Sue Beal of Milton,FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 sons (Howard, Earl
and Rob) and 2 sisters.

Cecil farmed for several years.  He owned and operated his own trucks
from 1959-1976, and then worked for Munson's Trucking.  He was well
liked and respected, and would do anything for anyone.  Cecil finished
his career running a bulldozer for Olson Tilling.

There will be a private family service.  Friends may call on Monday,
September 7, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Wise Family-Hoover Hall
Funeral Home Alexis, IL.  Family will not be present.  Burial will be
in the Alexis Cemetery, Alexis, IL.  Memorial may be made to the
Alexis Fire and/or the Alexis Ambulance Service.  Please sign the
