David Allen Harpley

David Allen Harpley, age 71, of Peoria, died on Sunday, February 2, 2020 in his home.  He was born on Wednesday, November 17, 1948 in Wadsworth, Ohio, a son of Willard and Jessa (Garland) Harpley.  He married Diann Finch on February 28, 1992 in Peoria, IL.

David is survived by his wife, Diann Harpley; a son, Scott Harpley and his wife Carole of Oswego, IL; three grandchildren, Zachary, Hayden and Hannah Harpley all of Oswego, IL; cousins and family from Ohio and West Virginia also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Terry Harpley.

David was a mechanic.  He enjoyed buying cars, computers and gadgets.  He was a fabulous cook and enjoyed cooking for many friends and family members.  He proudly served his country in United States Navy aboard the USS John F. Kennedy.  He retired from Peoria County as a fleet manager after 17 years of service.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Wise Family Funeral Home in Roseville, IL.  Interment will be in Roseville Memorial Park with military honors.
