Dolly M. Smith

Dolly May Smith, 78, of Alexis, passed away on Thursday October 14, 2021 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center at 7:07 am. She was born May 3,1943 in Smithfield West Virginia, the daughter of Lora and Evylean (Miller) Ice. She married Donald D. Smith Sr. On August 4,1961.

Dolly is survived by her husband Don, her children; Starlet Joy Smith of Galesburg, Donald “Bub” (Melissa) Smith,  of New Windsor, and Clifford M.  (Tina) Smith of Chillicothe, 8 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, and 1 great-great- grandchild.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, sister, Ellen Ice-Ricketts of Ohio and one great grandchild.

Dolly worked as a nurse for over 40 years and was the president of The AFSME Union. She was also a den mother for the Cub Scouts. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting, making quilts, and playing cards. She loved spending time with her family and adored all of her grandchildren dearly
