Dorothy Irene (Burkett) Blake, 96, of Monmouth, IL passed away Thursday May 28, 2015, 10:15 am at the Monmouth Nursing Home Monmouth, IL. She was born Thursday September 5, 1918, in Aledo, IL the daughter of Eldon James and Lillian Frankenberry Belt.
Her surviving family includes her children Marilyn Smith of Monmouth, IL, Charles (Janet) Burkett of E. Moline, IL, and Gary L. (Sandra) Burkett Sr. of Monmouth, IL; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded In death by her parents, 3 husbands, 2 sons (Randy Burkett, Larry Coffelt), 1 brother, and 4 sisters.
She was raised and educated in Aledo, IL, graduating from Aledo High School in 1936. Dorothy retired from John Deere Harvester in 1983.
Graveside service Saturday June 6, 2015 11:00 am in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery Monmouth, IL, cremation has been accorded burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made in her memory.
