Dorothy Frankhauser

Dorothy T. Frankhauser LEXINGTON SC - Dorothy T. Frankhauser, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Born in Avon IL, January 7, 1924, she was the daughter of Carter Harrison and Vera Mings Trumpy. She attended the University of Iowa School of Nursing where she met Keith H. Frankhauser. They were married in Avon, IL August 11, 1945. She enjoyed hosting dinner parties, playing bridge and sewing. She is survived by four daughters, Carol Winnermark of Gainesville, FL, Sara Oggel of Durham, NC, Kristin Phillips (Glenn) of Newberry, FL and Amy Longtine (Larry) of Lexington, SC; brother, Robert Trumpy (Alice) of Nokomis, FL; 11 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and daughter in-law Jean Frankhauser of Avon, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, and son Robert, and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Avon Federated Church, 206 S. Main St., Avon, IL, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14,2018, with burial to follow at the Avon Cemetery.
