Dorothy Litman, 90, of Oquawka, Illinois died 4:55 P.M. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg, IL. She was born July 23, 1924 in Kingston, Iowa the daughter of Harold D. and Olive (Rutter) Thomas. She was reared and educated in Oquawka and Keithsburg, graduating from Keithsburg High School in 1942. Dorothy married Louis Litman in Alexandria, VA on June 15, 1962 and he died January 5, 1995. She was a Beautician and at one time worked in the House of Representatives in Washington D.C., as a Beautician. She was of Presbyterian Faith and was a member of the F.O.E. Eagles Club in Oquawka. Surviving are cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth. Burial will be in the Oquawka Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday morning at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth.
