Dorothy May Thompson, 89 of Roseville, IL passed away Saturday July 8, 2017 at the OSF Holy Family Medical Center Monmouth, IL. She was born Wednesday May 30, 1928, in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Enos and Mamie (Carlson) Talley. She married Leon Thompson on September 12, 1948, he preceded her in death on June 5, 2000.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters Linda Delawder of Galesburg, IL and Dr. Judy (Dr. Brian) Glaser of Athens, GA; grandchildren Scott Delawder, Eric Delawder, Natalie Glaser, Jill Glaser and Lisa Glaser. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son-in-law Dr. John Delawder.

She grew up in Swan Creek and graduated from Roseville High School. Her friends and neighbors were high priority to her. She loved nature and gardening, she enjoyed watching birds her favorite being the purple martin. Dorothy was a member of the 1st Lutheran Church in Monmouth, IL. She was a homemaker and cared for others. She was a great support to her husband in Leon Thompson Real Estate.

Graveside service will be Tuesday July 11, 2017, 2:00 p.m.at the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery Roseville, IL. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home Roseville, IL. Memorials may be made to a fund for a bench at Roseville Eldridge Park. Please sign the online guest book at www.wisefamily-hooverhall.com.
