Evelyn L. Ricketts

Evelyn L. Ricketts, 93, of Quincy, IL formerly of Monmouth, IL passed away Friday June 8, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Home of Quincy.  She was born Saturday August 30, 1924 the daughter of Edward and Edna (Custer) Hilsenhoff.  She married John W. Ricketts on February 3, 1946 in Monmouth, IL he preceded her on August 26, 2013.

Surviving are one daughter, Lynn (Roger) Hill of Quincy, IL; one son, Gerald Bruce (Michelle) Ricketts of Pacific, MO, 5 grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Hill of Rockford, MI, Kevin (Angie) Hill of Champaign, IL Rebecca (Justin) Spencer of Pacific, MO, Todd Cooper of Pacific, MO and Mathew Cooper of Des Moines, IA and 7 great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling.  She was a member of the 1stBaptist Church of Monmouth.  She and her husband spent 25 years wintering in Lakeland, FL.

Funeral service will be Wednesday June 13, 2018 11:00 a.m., visitation will be from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. both at the Wise Family Funeral Home Roseville, IL.  Burial will be in the Monmouth Cemetery Monmouth, IL. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Home of Quincy.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise Family Funeral Home Roseville is in charge of the arrangements.
