Fairybelle Benham, 96, of Alexis, IL passed away Wednesday May 24, 2017, 4:15 p.m. at the Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center Galesburg, IL. She was born Sunday April 3, 1921 in Ethridge, KS the daughter of Everette P. and Jeannette I. (Sloan) Michael. She married Kenneth Arlo Benham on October 8, 1943, he preceded her in death on May 24, 1988.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Kenneth W. (Mary) Benham of Wataga, IL, David L. (Susie) Benham of Wataga, IL, and Janice G. (Warren) King of Alexis, IL; 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter, 5 sisters, and 2 brothers.

She was a graduate of Alexis High School. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and sewing. She loved to collect rabbits. She was a member of the North Henderson United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be Saturday May 27, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home in Alexis, IL Jeffery Uddin will officiate, a visitation will be one hour prior. There will be a graveside service 2:00 p.m. at the Cuba Cemetery in Cuba, IL. Memorials may be made to Flora Hall in North Henderson.
