Faye D. Sittler

Faye D. Sittler 92, passed away on October 2, 2021, at 10:08 am at St. Mary Medical Center. She was born on June 17, 1929, the daughter of Stanley and Vera (Terpening) Schraceo. She married Raymond “Jack” Bernhart on May 27, 1950, he preceded her in death on September 13, 1975. She then married George Sittler on October 9, 1987, he also preceded her in death on July 11, 2021.

Faye is survived by her children Janet (Charles) Ihrer from Avon, IL Allen Bernhart from Abbeville, LA, and Tina (Travis) Havens of Bushnell, IL, 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a brother Donald Schraceo, a sister Judi Woods of Galesburg, and a great-grandson Jacob Pruett.

Faye had worked at Maytag for 32 years. After her retirement she showed how she loved to travel. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Faye always enjoyed feeding her loved ones. In her spare time, she loved to crochet and watch ministry on T.V. Faye was a member of the Bushnell Christian Church.

Funeral Service will be held on October 8, 2021, at 10:00 am at the Wise Family Funeral Home in Avon. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 7, 2021, from 5:00 pm- 7:00pm at the Wise Family Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Hope Cemetery in Galesburg, IL.  in Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Avon Fire Department, Bushnell Christian Church or Donors Choice.
