Gary Stuart Browning

Gary Stuart Browning quietly passed away at his home in Jackson, MS on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Gary will be remembered for his gentle soul and his generosity.  He is survived by his sisters, Lynn (Richard) Grant of Macomb, IL and Rita Browning of Clinton; and niece Jennifer Grant and nephew Nicholas (Katie) Grant.

Gary was the son of Henry Stuart and Clara (Kepner) Browning.  He was born Sunday, May 10, 1953 and was raised in Media, IL.  He was a 1971 graduate of Media Wever High School and attended Western Illinois University for two years.  He then transferred to the university of Mississippi and graduated in 1975 with a degree in Civil Engineering.  Following graduation, he joined the Navy for two years before returning to the University of Mississippi to obtain his Masters degree.  He was a Civil Engineer for the Department of Transportation in Jackson for over 30 years.
