Gerald T. "Jerry" Roberts, 71, of Roseville, IL passed away Saturday January 24, 2015, 12:15 am at his home. He was born August 13, 1943 in Avon, IL the son of Lowell and Margaret Purl Roberts. He married Linda Mason on December 30, 1962 in Greenbush, IL. He is survived by his wife of Roseville; one daughter Holly Davis of West Virginia; one son Joel Roberts of Wataga, IL; 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; two sisters Christine Barton of Abingdon, IL and his twin Jean Oyler of Avon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter (Sonya Roberts). He was raised in St. Augustine and graduated from Avon High School in 1962. He was in the US Air Force from 1962-1966. He worked and retired from United Parcel. He enjoyed woodworking, and fishing. He was a member of the Roseville Christian Church. Funeral service will be Thursday January 29, 2015, 2:00 pm at the Roseville Christian Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Roseville Christian Church. There is no burial cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the Beacon of Hope Hospice and or Roseville Christian Church. Online condolences may be left at www.hooverhall.com.
