Glen Edward Brahmstedt, 77, of Galesburg, Illinois, died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg. He was born March 10, 1936 at Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Ella (Ahlgren) Brahmstedt. He was raised and educated in the Alexis area. He was a Plumber by trade. He is survived by one son, Doug Brahmstedt, one sister Ruth Sandberg of Ticonderoga, NY and one brother, Art C. Brahmstedt, Jr. of Ophiem, IL along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Raymond "Pete" Brahmstedt. Graveside services will be at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Alexis, Cemetery with Rev. Terry Johnston. His family will be present from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon Saturday at Hoover- Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis, Illinois.
