Helen May Dilts Myers 94 of Ellisville died October 28, 2021, at the Prairie City Rehab and healthcare Center. She was born June 30, 1927, at Ellisville the daughter of Harry and Alice (Beckner) Dilts. She married Kenneth Myers a WWII veteran in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1990.
She is survived by her two daughters Kay (Bill) Van Tine and Sally (Roger) Clark, four grandchildren Kenneth (Rhonda) Van Tine, Gerald (Beth) Van Tine, Tonya (Kenneth) Sidwell and Michael Hitchcock JR. Nine Great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren and six step great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, baby brother Harold Dilts and sister Betty (Pep) Nichols.
As a child she lived several places attending 8 years of school in Wyoming Il. She had one year of High Scholl in Prairie City ll and finished High School Ellisville Il graduating 1945. She taught in Babylon, a one-room school during WWII. She was a recording secretary for the Ellisville Alumni. Belonged to the Lewistown Red Hatters. She was active in the Spoon River Scenic Drive. She was also a part of the Bushnell Garden Club. She was a member of the Avon Nursing Home Auxiliary, Ellisville Goal Getters and many other clubs and activities. She was also an avid artist and painter. She made beautiful quilts and loved to sew/
Funeral Service will be held on Monday November 1, 2021, at the Wiley Lutheran Church on County HWY 2 Ellisville at 11:00am. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
