Ida M. Ryner, 90, of Monmouth died at 7:32 P.M. Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Monmouth Nursing Home.
She was born April 19, 1921 in Rome, Iowa the daughter of David and Mina (Ortery) English. She was raised and educated in Monmouth.
Ida married Carroll Ryner in Missouri in 1940 and he died in 1975.
Ida worked at Western Stoneware, Whitehouse Dairy, White Mill Restaurant and most recently Casey's general Store all in Monmouth. Ida worked hard her entire life up until she retired at the age of 82. She enjoyed working on puzzles, playing Uno, watching the Cubs and game shows and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Heritage United Presbyterian Church and the Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley (Gary) Bayles of Monmouth; 2 grandchildren, Dennis J. Bayles of East Peoria, Tracey Damewood of Cameron, Il; 5 great grandchildren, Joshua Bayles, Jacob Bayles, Danielle Bayles, Amanda Hall and Jenna Damewood; 4 great great grandchildren, Paige Hall, Hunter Hall, Callie Hall and Harper Hall; sister, Dorothy (Harold) Carnes of Monmouth; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, David Bayles; 5 brothers, Gene English, Bill English, Bob English, Fred English and Si English; sister, Winifred Numbers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. John Irwin of the Heritage United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Monmouth Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present from 1:00-2:00 P.M.
