Jane M. (Laughead) VanHyfte 67 of Alexis, IL passed away on Friday October 2, 2015 at home. Jane was born February 17, 1948 in Rock Island, IL the daughter of Robert and Harriet Laughead.
Surviving are her mother, Harriet Laughead Bealer, East Moline, IL; special friend, Kent Mohr, Alexis, IL and several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her father, Robert Laughead, two brothers Dan Laughead and Richard Laughead and a nephew Joe Laughead.
After graduating from Moline High School she worked at the Rock Island Arsenal later transferring to White Sands facility in New Mexico before returning to the Quad City area. Jane's real passion was in the art field creating jewelry, drawings and ceramics.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm at the Viking Club 1450-41 Street, Moline, IL. Burial will be held at a later date.
