Janice K. Thye, 71, of Alexis, died 10:45 A.M. Monday, February 18, 2013, at her home.
She was born October 29, 1941 in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of James and Helen (Enke) Thye. She was raised and educated in Burlington.
Janice worked as an aid at a local nursing home. She was a cheerful and giving person. Janice loved crocheting and making crafts.
Her family included her former husband, Jack Reddington of Alexis; four children, Tabb Abbott of Alexis, Scott Young of Seattle WA, Shane Young of the Quad Cities, and Joyce (Jim) Kipp of Denver CO; five grandchildren; one sister, Janeen (Arthur) Scroggins of Eldon, MO, three brothers, James (Pebs) Miller of Sherman, TX, John Randy Miller of Eldon, MO, and Jeffery Miller of Atlanta, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
A memorial service will be 3 P.M. Friday, February 22, 2013 at Hoover Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis. There will be no family visitation or calling hours. Cremation has been accorded.
