"Jeanie" F. Plate

"Jeanie" Plate, 73 of Good Hope, IL passed away Tuesday February 28, 2017, 7:20 pm at the Monmouth Nursing Home Monmouth, IL. She was born Wednesday November 24, 1943, in Macomb, IL the daughter of James and Alta (McKinnon) Waller.

Those left to cherish her memory are Sons: Rodney (Jennifer) Plate of Monmouth, IL and Rich (Tiffany) Plate of Stronghurst, IL; grandchildren: Emma Plate, Madelyn Plate, Raven Plate, and Reed Plate; sisters: Helen (Ocie) Baldwin of Roseville, IL, Evelyn Waller of Springfield, IL, June (Benny) Mecum of Roseville, IL, and Della Mae Mohr of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, and 4 sisters.

She has lived most of her life in Good Hope. She owned and operated Jeanie's Beauty Shop for 50 years. She was the Good Hope School crossing guard, where most will remember her for her big smile and friendly wave. She served on the Good Hope Town Board for years. She was a member of the daughters of Rebekah. She attended the Methodist Church in Good Hope most of her life.

Memorial Service will be Saturday March 4, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home Roseville, IL. Visitation will be Friday Evening March 3, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home as well. Cremation rites have been accorded burial will be at a later date.
