John C Schreck

John C. Schreck 81, of Roseville passed away on October 16, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital at 4:50pm. He was born on December 9, 1939 in Monmouth Il the son of Carl and Francis (St. Ledger) Schreck. He married Janet Hines on October 3 1964.

John is survived by his wife Janet of Roseville, children; Marie (Alan) Apel of Topeka KS, Bill Schreck of Richlands, NC, grandchildren; Aaron (Melanie) Apel, Micheal (Elizabeth) Apel, Elisabeth (Jason) Sullivan, Krista Schreck, and Rob Bean, 11 great-grandchildren with on the way, sisters; Mary-Anne Liggett of Las Vegas NV, and Eileen (Ed) Roe of Monmouth Il.

John is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and Bill Schreck, and granddaughter Danielle Bean.

John graduated from Avon High School in 1957, then attended a year at St. Ambrose University. He was a carpenter builder all his life pretty much a master craftsman. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Monmouth. John was also know to be an avid Packers, Notre Dame and Cardinals fan.  John loved to travel on his motorcycle. Had shown that he had a love-hate relationship with golf. Most of all he loved when his babies were able to come over and spend time.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 22, 2021 at 10:30 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 21, 2021 from 5:00-7:00om Rosary will be at 4:45pm at the Wise Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Patrick Catholic Church.
