Keith Leon Henry, 79, of Oquawka, died 2:54 A.M. Monday, June 10, 2013 at Great River Medical Center, Burlington, Iowa.

He was born December 29, 1933 at Blandinsville, IL, the son of Fredrick Lyle and Ester May (Gossage) Henry. He was raised and educated Blandinsville.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1953 to 1957.

Keith married Roberta C. Taflinger in 1952. He married Shirley J. Liggett in 1977 at Monmouth and she survives.

He retired from J.I. Case in Burlington in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, hunting building stuff, woodworking or just tinkering with things. He enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with family.

His family includes his wife, Shirley of Burlington, two sons, Brent (Cindy) Henry and Harvey (C.J.) Henry one daughter-in-law, Linda Henry of all of Oquawka, 6 grandchildren, 16 A½ great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, 6 stepchildren Bill (Jackie) Liggett of Woodstock, IL, Sheila ( Roger) Wikoff of Maroa, IL, Judy Schaeffer of Decatur, IL, Gary (Jane) Liggett of Forsyth, IL, Kathy Juneman of Topeka, IL and Nancy Liggett of Sheridan, WY, 15 step grandchildren, 28 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren, two brothers, Gary (Connie) Henry of Carman, IL and Larry (Bonnie) Henry of Keithsburg, IL, two sisters, Pat (Wayne) Yetter of LaHarpe, IL and Barbara Hensley of Burlington, IA and one sister-in-law, Connie (Don) Carpenter of Burlington, IA along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents , a son, Brian Keith Henry, brother, Bobby Henry and granddaughter, Kimberly Klingler.

Cremation has been accorded. Interment of ashes with military honors will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Monmouth Cemetery, with Rev. Jeff Robbins of the Oquawka United Methodist Church. There are no visitation hours planned. Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.hooverhall.com
