Kenn W Anderson

Kenn W. Anderson of Galesburg, died at home at 1:18 am on Friday, December 29th, 2023. He was born October 23, 1948 in Avon. The son of James Paul and Doris M. (Swank) Anderson, he is survived by his wife, Jane; three daughters, Wendy Anderson of Rock Island, Jennifer (Donnie) Shaw of Maquon, and Krista (Scott) Godsil of Galesburg; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Huffington of McHenry and Katie (Chad) Dawson of Mt. Zion; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Greg Anderson of Farmersburg, IA, Mark Anderson, and Jeff Anderson, both of Galesburg, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Joann Miles, Judy Green, and Della Anderson.

He started his career as a mechanic. Then, he worked at OMC and Gale before establishing a career as a Quality Control Specialist. He enjoyed woodworking, bladesmithing, and fishing in his free time. He also loved playing chess and backgammon. He was a big fan of the Chicago Bears, NASCAR, and golf.

The family would like to thank OSF Hospice and all of their caregivers for the excellent care they received. They are the best.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Avon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home. Moore Memorial Home, Avon is handling the arrangements.
