Larry E. Hayburn, 60, of Kirkwood, IL passed away Sunday November 19, 2017, 12:09 p.m. in rural Kirkwood, IL. He was born Friday March 29, 1957 in Aledo, IL the son of Lester E and Marie (McGough) Hayburn.
Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings Catherin Ann (David) James of Galesburg, IL, Debbra Joe (Gary) Abbott of Galesburg, IL, David James Hayburn, Rodney D. Hayburn, and Brenda Kay Stamper all of Kirkwood, IL, Kevin Ray Hayburn of Arkansas, and Kathleen Marie (Jeff) Schacht of Galesburg, IL; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Larry was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, trap and go deer hunting. He also loved to work in the garden and supply people fresh garden food. He was a very meticulous person. He worked for the Smiths, Scott Walters and Ron Tharp at Tharp Brothers. He mowed and did snow removal at the United Methodist Church in Kirkwood. He helped a lot of People and enjoyed helping them. He was a member of the Kirkwood Fire Dept. for twenty plus years.
Funeral service will be Saturday November 25, 2017, 11:30 a.m. at the Kirkwood United Methodist Church Kirkwood, IL. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Kirkwood United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Centergrove Cemetery Kirkwood, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Kirkwood United Methodist Church, and/or the Kirkwood Fire Dept.
