Larry Dale Taylor, 56, of Monmouth, died at 5:38 A.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at OSF St. Mary's Medical Center, Galesburg.
Larry was born March 9, 1957 in Galesburg, the son of Robert C. and Genevieve W. (Fry) Taylor. He raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School.
Larry married Sarah A. Smith in Monmouth on December 6, 1975 and she survives.
He was a retired bus driver and enjoyed fixing up houses and renting them out.
Larry was a member of the First Christian Church in Monmouth.
His family includes his wife, Sarah; one daughter, Stephanie Taylor of Monmouth; two sisters, Debbie (Gary) Royse and Ginger Taylor both of Monmouth; one brother Terry (Sheila) Taylor of Monmouth; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents and one nephew preceded him in death.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be 11 A.M. Monday, April 8, 2013 at First Christian Church, Monmouth with Rev. Jim Epperson. Visitation with his family will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Internment of ashes will be in Warren County Memorial Park. Memorial may be give to the Joslin Diabetes Center or to OSF Holy Family Medical Center.
