Linda Kay (Hull) Gipe

Linda Kay Gipe, 77, of Media, IL passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020, 4:23 pm at the OSF St. Frances Medical Center, Peoria, IL.  She was born Saturday, March 13, 1943, in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Jerry and Bette (Pirtle) Hull.  She married Don G. Gipe on September 26, 1970 in Raritan, IL.

Linda is survived by her husband Don, of Media; her children, Teryan (Joe) Newman of Elmwood, Dustin Gipe (Niccy Levi) of Austin, TX., her grandsons, Gabriel and Gavan; siblings, Penny Moore of Oquawka, Connie Mowen of Monmouth, Mike Hull of Monmouth, and Steve Hull of Monmouth; also brother and sister in-laws and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, especially hummingbirds.  She loved to plant flowers.  She enjoyed playing games with the family.  She loved her dog and new cat.  Linda’s biggest love was her family, she was the world’s best grandmother.  She was also a devoted and loving wife and mother.

Please join the Gipe family in a celebration of life for Linda K. Gipe on Saturday September 18th at the St. Patrick Catholic Church Center. The open house will be from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.  At 2:30 a pastor will speak and share special stories about Linda. Please come and share memories with Linda's family and friends.
