Linda Kay Sawyer

March 24, 1945 — May 27, 2018

Linda Kay Sawyer, 73, of Avon, IL passed away Sunday May 27, 2018, 6:59 a.m. at the OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center Galesburg, IL.  She was born Saturday, March 24, 1945 in Rushville, IL the daughter of Harry R. and Alice M. (Reathaford) Menely.  She married Chuck Becker and later married Tom Sawyer on August 30, 1983.

She is survived by her husband Tom Sawyer of Little Swan Lake, IL; one daughter Tommie (Chad) Lydic of Little Swan Lake, IL; one daughter-in-law Jamie Becker of Macomb, IL; one granddaughter Carly Becker of Macomb, IL; three sisters Peg Johnson of Arizona, Sandy (John) Ellis of Dahinda and Nancy (John) Guenther of Berwick, IL also survived by her dog daughter Josie and granddog Klaus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son (Brad Becker), and 1 infant son (Darby Becker).

Linda loved to watch wrens in the summer.  She was known for her famous Christmas cookies.  She enjoyed going to the boat and just being at the lake.  She enjoyed talking to her sisters and taking vacations with them.  She enjoyed Sunday cookouts at Brad and Jamie’s boathouse.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at dad's house 34 Shady Lane Little Swan Lake Avon, IL.   Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and sent C/O Wise Family Funeral Home P.O.
