Linda Thompson

Linda Thompson, 63, of Fairview, IL passed away Saturday March 11, 2017 at her home. She was born Friday March 13, 1953 in Avon, IL the daughter of John and Carilee (Phelps) Newman. She married Michael Thompson on June 17, 1995.

Those left to cherish her memory are husband Mike of Fairview, IL; children Aaron (Linda) Endres of Hanna City, IL, Amy (Scott) Howard of Maineville OH; grandchildren Brooke (Dewayne) Bone of Clanton, AL, and Brayden and Adalyn Howard; great grandchildren Micah and Selah Bone. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was raised around the Ellisville area where she attended grade school. She graduated Spoon Valley High School in 1971. She was a stay at home mom raising her children and also cleaned houses for people. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She volunteered at Spoon River Elementary School. She was an avid collector of Antiques and she loved to read.

Funeral service will be Wednesday March 15, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Reformed Church, Fairview, IL. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday march 14, 2017, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Fairview Reformed Church. Memorials may be made to Illinois Cancer Care.
