Louise E. Bates 87 of Roseville died December 3, 2015 at 10:24 pm at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, IL. She was born March 13, 1928 in Swan Creek, IL the daughter of Miles and Maysel(Lammerts) McDonald. She later married Charles J. Bates on January 19, 1947 who preceded her in death on December 15, 2008.

She is survived by her children Connie Cook and Greg(Lindy) Bates all of Roseville. She is survived by 4 Grandchildren Tony(Leslie) Cook of Monmouth, Brian(Jennifer) Cook of Monmouth, Sabrina(Corey) Brown of Niota IL, Ashley(Aaron) Smith of Bartlett IL. She had 6 Great Granddaughters, Aubrey, Emily, Bella, Jenna, Karra, and Anna as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son in law Bob Cook and also her brother Raymond McDonald.

She loved to crochet, feed and watch the birds and squirrels, garden and can vegetables, and also loved her cats. She enjoyed spending time with her Family and Friends.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday December 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at Point Pleasant Cemetery in Roseville, IL. Visitation will be held Tuesday December 8, 2015 from 5:00-7:00pm at Wise Family Hoover Hall Funeral Home in Monmouth, IL. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Online condolences may be made at www.wisefamily-hooverhall.com. Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
