Louise (Lincoln) Byerly

Louise Lincoln Byerly, 101, formerly of Avon, IL passed away, Thursday, February 27, 2020.  She was born Thursday, September 26, 1918 in Woodhull, IL, the daughter of Allen and Nellie (Shinkel) Lincoln.  She married Joe O. Byerly on March 30, 1940, he preceded her in death.

Louise is survived by her children, Deen (Rose) Byerly of Windsor, CT, Wendel (Connie) Byerly of Gilson; Grandchildren, Lynn (Steve) Connors, Kurt (Karen) Byerly, Lee (Nicole) Byerly and Joe (Jennifer) Byerly; great-grandchildren, Megan, Caitlin, Ryan Connors, Erin and Brook Byerly, Ariel and Alec Byerly, and Adalyn Byerly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and children Donny (Lucinda) Byerly and siblings, Forrest (Dorothy) Lincoln, Wilford (Jessie) Lincoln, Orville (Jean) Lincoln, Deen (Mary) Lincoln, George (Barbara) Lincoln, Doris (Hank) Marshall and Maribelle (George) Fitch.

Louise worked for Luper and Sundberg Antenna Factory for 17 years. She worked at the Burlington Ordinance Plant for 3 years.  She retired in 1981 after working 10 ½ years at Admiral in Galesburg.  She was a member of the Avon United Methodist Church and a former member of Hypation Club, Greenbush Card Club and the Galesburg Stamp Club.
