M. Margaret White

M. Margaret White, 83, of Avon, IL passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019, 2:06 p.m. at the Petersen Health Care Center in Bushnell, IL.  She was born Sunday, May 24, 1936 in Barry, IL the daughter of Omar McCleery and Goldie (Mixer) Bollinger.  She married Elmer White on June 19, 1954, at her mother and stepdads house in Bushnell.

Margaret is survived by her husband Elmer White of 65 years; daughter, Linda (Lee) Worthington; son Duane (Crystal Lillard) White; grandchildren, Andrew (Erin) Worthington, Kyle (Hannah) Worthington, Ryan Worthington, Kelsey (Ross) Huffstutler and Devon White; great grandchildren, Kennedy Huffstutler and Evelyn Worthington; and a great grandson (Grant Worthington) on the way; siblings, Barb (Steve) Wilson, Lloyd (Susan) McCleery, Dallas (Jan) McCleery, and Phyllis James and sister-in-law Myrtle McCleery; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Greg and Diane Blythe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-dad Dorman Bollinger, 2 infant children (Danny Ray and Janet Fay), 3 brothers (Kenneth McCleery, Donnie McCleery, and Bob McCleery) 1 sister (Betty Jones).

Margaret worked at Brown-Lynch-Scott, and Robbins Jewelers.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  She attended church at Fiatt Independent Christian Church.

Funeral service will be Friday, September 20, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at the Wie Family Funeral Home Avon, IL. Visitation will be Thursday eve, September 19, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Bushnell Cemetery, Bushnell, IL. Memorials may be made to the BPC Elementary School.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise Family Funeral Home Avon is in charge of the arrangements.
