Marjorie L. Rodgers 85 of Roseville, IL passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Roseville Rehab and Healthcare Center Roseville, IL. She was born Friday February 6, 1931 in Liberty, IL the daughter of Russell and Alberta (Schmalshof) Hopson. She married Rolland "Lubby" Rodgers on June 28, 1952 at the Roseville Christian Church, he preceded her on April 24, 2016.

Those left to cherish her memory are son Trent Rodgers of Roseville, IL; daughter Sheila (Mike) Kirby of Roseville, IL; grandchildren Alan Rodgers and Kelly Rodgers, Lynsey (Curt) Means, Marissa (Justin) Kirby-Stofferahn, Katy (Casey) Krieg; 6 great grandchildren Sam, Riley, Hillarry, Mallori, Nora, and Freddy; one sister Mary Turner of Roseville, IL. She was preceded in death by Parents, Husband, two brothers Don Schmalshof and Richard Hopson.

Marjorie graduated Roseville High School. She was a nurse for over 50 years. She worked at Western Illinois University Health Center. She worked for Dr. Icenogle, Dr. Hoyt, and Dr. Leonard. She worked for the LaMoine Christian Nursing Home. She has lived most of her life in the Roseville community area. She was a member of the Roseville Christian Church, and also of the Roseville American Legion Auxillary.

Funeral service will be Friday January 20, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Roseville Christian Church Roseville, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior at the Roseville Christian Church. Burial will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Roseville, IL. Memorials may be made to the Roseville Christian Church, Roseville Rehab and Nursing Home, and/or the American Legion Nursing Scholarship.
