Marvin D Tracey

Marvin D. Tracey, 68, of Ellisville, passed away at 6:44 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024 in his home. He was born July 1, 1955 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Clarence D. and Shirley (Anderson) Tracey. He was raised and educated in the Spoon River Valley school district.

Marvin married Nancy Jo Burke on March 14, 1999 and she preceded him in death on November 9, 2020.

Those left to cherish his memory are; son, Chris (Peggy Jo Williams) Tracey of Avon, Illinois; two grandchildren, Morgan and Cole; brother-in-law, Gary Davis of Cameron, Illinois. Two nephews and one niece also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Gerald Tracey; sisters, Donna Tracey, Roberta Davis.

Marvin loved fishing and being outdoors. He was a fan of St. Louis Cardinal baseball, Fighting Illini sports and the Chicago Bears football team. He also enjoyed hanging out with friends and family.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a graveside service to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ellisville Christian Church and left in the care of the funeral home. Moore Memorial Home, Avon, is handling the arrangements.
