Maxine L. Reynolds

Maxine L. Reynolds, 93, of Monmouth, IL died Thursday, July 26, 2018, 7:37 a.m. at Marigold Healthcare Center in Galesburg, IL.  She was born Saturday, December 20, 1924 in rural Warren County to the family of Earl and Bertha Dye.  She married Gail “Bob” Reynolds on March 8, 1946, He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her two sons John (Michaela) Reynolds of Monmouth, IL, and Tom (Carrie) Reynolds of Mapleton, IL; 6 grandchildren Brendan (Jenny) Reynolds of Houston, TX, Sara (Joe) Ryner of New Windsor, IL, Jordan (Dan) Shea of Downers Grove, IL, Jillian (Adam) Keil of Monmouth, IL, Mark (Jen) Rosenak of Bartonville, IL and Lindsay (Joe) Fenwick of Mapleton, IL; 20 great grandchildren; a sister Ruth Guilinger of Savanna, IL and three brothers Ivan Dye (Vanesse) of Belvidere, IL, Cleo (Karen) Dye and Larry (Doris) Dye both of Monmouth, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 60 years, 2 sisters (May Shook and Dorothy Waddell), 1 brother ( La Verne Dye), 1 grandson (Doug Reynolds) and 2 great grandsons (Cameron Reynolds and Caleb Reynolds)

Maxine was reared and educated in Kirkwood, IL; where she attended Tubbs Grade School and graduated from Kirkwood High School.  She continued her farming life style when she married.  They farmed in the Sugar Tree Grove & Kirkwood areas for 40 years before retiring to Monmouth in 1985.
