Michael Patrick Bent

Michael Patrick Bent, 40, of Avon, IL passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at his home.  He was born Sunday, January 1, 1978 the son of Tina (Ted) Stull of Avon, IL.  He was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend.

Mike worked at Horton Farms for several years.  He loved spending time on the farm working and hanging out with Swig.  He was passionate about demolition derby’s, working on cars and making sure his friends and family were taken care of.

He is survived by his mom Tina (Ted) Stull of Avon, IL; grandmother Libby Bent of Galesburg, IL; sister Michelle Johnson of Abingdon, IL; brothers Matt Johnson of Galesburg, IL and Marshall (Joyce) Johnson of Bakersfield, CA; uncle Dan Bent of Seattle, WA., Patrick (Margaret) Bent of Galesburg, IL, and Kathy Bent of Galesburg, IL; 5 nieces and 2 nephews.

He was always willing to help a friend or family member in need.  He will be missed by all of his friends and family.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Storm Shelter Pub, 102 N.
