Nancy Simmons

Nancy Simmons 60 of Greenbush Il passed away peacefully at her daughters home in Fairview.  She was born November 2, 1960 in Galesburg, IL the daughter of Alonzo and Lois (Seago) Treadway.  She married William Simmons March 9, 1978 in the Greenbush Christian Church by James Oliver. He preceded her in death September 21, 2019.

She is survived by her children Jeremiah (Amy) Simmons, Jacob (Brenna) Simmons, Rebecca (Nick) Hunter, Emily (AJ) Scott.  Grandchildren Meg, Luke, Kate, Beth, Haylee, Anya, Jonny, Grace, Stella, Rhett, Vada, Lewis, Atlas, and Josephine. Her siblings Alonzo, Charlene, Linda, Jo, Janice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers David and Jimmy.

She Grew up in Galesburg, graduating Galesburg High School graduating in 1978.  She was members of Costa Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family. Loved to travel, very few states she had not traveled to. Selfless woman that would give the shirt off her back. Supporting her children and grandchildren at events, always showing up. She was strong woman, a true fighter, fighting breast cancer since 2004. She loved her pet Chester who was taken care of by Becca and will go to live with Linda. She worked at Roseville Health care Center for over 30 years.

Visitation will be held Saturday February 20th from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at the Wise Family Funeral Home in Avon, IL. Rosary will be at 1:00pm. Memorials may be made to the Nancy Simmons Memorial Fund. Due to Covid-19, masks will be required, and social distancing will be observed.
