Patricia Ann Bricker

Patricia Ann Bricker, 87, of Avon, IL passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the McDonough District Hospital.  She was born Wednesday November 12, 1930 at St. Mary’s in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of William and Clara (Shutts) Moran.  She married Vern Bricker at St. Patrick’s Church in Galesburg, IL on October 7, 1948.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Vern of Avon, IL; sons Mike (Carol) Bricker of Peoria, IL, Dan (Cheryl) Bricker of Bensenville, IL; daughters Kathleen (Jim) Percy of Macomb, IL, Theresa (Cary) Pierce of Wheaton, IL and Charlotte Chatterton of Ellisville, IL, daughter-in-law Jeanette Bricker of Avon, IL; 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters (Dorothy Palmer and Betty Fields), an infant brother, an infant grandson, 1 son (Rusty in 08) and son-in-law (Greg Chatterton in 12).

Patricia attended St. Joseph’s Academy Grade School and Corpus Christi High School in Galesburg, IL.  after marriage she worked for an attorney in Galesburg, IL, Saunders Hospital in Avon, IL and H&R Block in Macomb, IL, but most of all she enjoyed being a helpmate to her husband in the farming business.  An area farm supplier called her the best hired man a farmer could have.  Pat was also a caregiver for four years for Vern’s brother Bob before his death in 2002, she also assisted in the care of Vern’s sister-in-law Harriet Bricker for several years.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday March 10, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church Bushnell, IL.  Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Church.  Burial will be in the Avon Cemetery Avon, IL.  Memorials may be made to the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church Bushnell, IL.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
