Paul J. Jensen

Paul J. Jenson, 95, of Alexis, Il passed away Sunday January 14, 2018, 12:37 a.m. at Seminary Manor Galesburg, IL.  He was born Saturday July 15, 1922, in Gerlaw, IL the son of Hans J. and Anna Christina (Jensen) Jensen.  He married Florence Wheeler on December 29, 1946, she preceded him on October 24, 2005.

Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters Paula (David) Ables of Onida, IL and Angela (David) Fengel of Canton, IL, one daughter-in-law Regina Jensen of Alexis, IL; grandchildren Steven Ables, Shawna Ables, and Megan (Chris) Janey; one sister Marian Gardner of Gerlaw, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 son (Gary), 2 brothers (Raymond & Lorence).

Paul enjoyed playing horseshoes and won many tournaments.  He enjoyed trapping and hunting.  He farmed all his life.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Funeral service will be Friday January 19, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at the Wise Family Hoover Hall Funeral Home Alexis, IL.  Visitation will be Thursday January 18, 2018, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Wise Family Hoover Hall Funeral Home Alexis, IL.  Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Warren County, IL.  Memorials may be made to the Alexis-North Henderson Ambulance Service and or the Alexis Fire Dept.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise Family Hoover Hall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
