Pearl "Polly" (Reathaford) Jones

Pearl “Polly” A. Jones, 72, of Galesburg, IL passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, atGenesis Senior Living, Aledo, IL.  She was born Wednesday, January 22, 1947 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of William Landis and Dorothy B. Reathaford.  She married William Rolland “Rollie” Jones on February 29, 1964 in North Henderson, he preceded her in death on December 22, 2014.

Polly is survived by her children, Barbara (Wayne) Saline and William R. “Bill” (Lonnie) Jones; Grandchildren, Brooke (Bart) Wolek, Brett (Saraya Nichols) Saline and Wolfgang Jones; brothers, Mike (Nancy) Reathaford, and Bob (Arlene) Reathaford; numerous special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Rollie, and 1 niece.

She was born and raised in Galesburg.  She graduated Black Hawk College Nursing School.  She worked many nursing jobs including Mercer County Hospital, St. Luke’s/Genesis East and in the department for cardiovascular Medicine.  She was a L.P.N and a N.A.L.P.N.  She was a member of the North Henderson United Methodist Church, and attended Hope Wesleyan Church in Galesburg.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 15, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church North Henderson, IL. Visitation will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home Alexis, IL.  Burial will be in the Pope Creek Cemetery Seaton, IL, following the funeral. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and/or the Polly Jones memorial fund.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home Alexis, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
