Raymond Thomas Huston Dvm

Raymond Thomas Huston DVM of Roseville died February 17, 2021 at Farmington Country Manor.  He was born August 8, 1941, in Macomb, Il the son of John T. (Jack) and Opal F. (Ray) Huston.  He married Diana J. Ross September 7, 1968 in Sioux City IA.

Raymond is survived by his wife Diana, sons John Robert Huston and Michael and Tina (Lehnen) Huston, Three grandchildren Ryley Nicole, Camryn Marie and Nicholas Bryan.  Brothers George Patrick (Susan) Huston and John Leo (Anne) Huston of Chicago.  Sister-in-Law Sandra Sue (Steve) Heraly of Hubertus WI 11 nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Parents, One sone Nick.

Raymond graduated from Roseville High School in 1959.  He entered the University of Illinois the fall of 1959, graduating with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.  He served two years in Vietnam as an Air Force Sentry Dog Veterinarian earning the rank of Captain.  He practiced in Bennett Iowa for one year and met his wife Diana in Davenport.  After marriage they moved to Pleasant Plains to practice for two years.  I December of 1969 returned to Roseville having bought Jim Palmers practice and home.  In 1971 he and Dr. Chuck Josephson formed a partnership in Roseville that eventually mentored several Veterinarians that are still in practice today.  He retired after 55 years of practice in May of 2020. He served several years on the Roseville School Board.  He was an active supporter of the area 4H and FFA.  He was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church.

A Private Funeral Mass will be held.  Visitation will be Wednesday February 24, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where family will receive friends at the Wise Family Funeral Home in Roseville.  Memorials may be made to the Roseville Community Foundation or Roseville Eldridge Park Board.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.  Online condolences may be made at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com .
