Richard C. Severns

Richard C. Severns 84 of Avon, IL passed away Friday January 29, 2016, 9:40 am at the Heartland Health Care Center of Galesburg, IL. He was born April 6, 1931 in Fulton County, IL, the son of Cline and Bessie (Johnson) Severns. He married Mary Frances Regon and she survives. His memory is cherished by his wife Mary Frances Severns of Avon, IL; one daughter Peg Fowler of Abingdon, IL and one grandson Chad Fowler of Abindgon, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Gates Manufacturing in Galesburg, IL. He was an avid trapshooter.Graveside service will be Monday February 1, 2016, 11:00 am, at the Avon Cemetery, Avon, IL, with Military Honors at the graveside.
