Robert L. Hayes 90 of Avon, IL passed away Thursday November 18, 1925, 10:06 pm at the Prairie City Rehab and Health Care Center. He was born Wednesday August 19, 2015 in Galesburg, IL the son of Carroll L. D.V.M. and Ethel (Walker) Hayes. He married Mary B. Buchen on July 7, 1947 in Avon, IL.
He is survived by his wife of Avon, IL; Children Linda (Bill) Hammargren of Avon, IL and David A.(Carol) Hayes of Sandsprings, OK; 1 grandson Brian Hendricks of Phoenix, AZ; and 4 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated Avon High School. He was a member of the Farm Bureau. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII he was stationed in San Francisco and Okinawa. He farmed from 1946-2001 in the Avon area. He was an avid photographer and woodworker.
