Rolland E Cox

Rolland E. Cox, 95, of Roseville, Illinois, passed away at 8:32 a.m., Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Roseville Rehab and Healthcare Center. Rolland was born October 11, 1928 in Belvidere, Illinois, the son of Pierce and Lillian (Manuel) Cox. He was raised and lived his entire life in the Roseville area.

He married Clara Meade in 1951 and they later divorced.

He worked for the Santa Fe and Burlington Railroads and later for the Cooper Power System at Macomb for 26 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Swan Creek. He served in the Korean War from 1951-1952.

Survivors include one daughter; Suzanne MacDowell of Port Murray, New Jersey; granddaughters, Brandy, Melody, and Mary Beth; great-grandsons, Jaren and Zachary.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Robert Cox and one sister, Eloise Carlson.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Roseville Township Cemetery. Friends may call for one hour prior to services at the cemetery. Interment will be in the Roseville Township Cemetery. Moore Memorial Home, Roseville is handling the arrangements.
