Sharon Kay (Woods) Morss, 84, of Dixon, Illinois, formerly of Avon, passed away at 8:25 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 16, 1940, in Avon, the daughter of Lester A. and Fern (Smith) Woods.
After high school, she attended Brown’s Business College and worked as a secretary at AmericanSanitary Company. She married Harlan Wayne Morss on April 1, 1960, and they later divorced.
Kay worked several jobs that she enjoyed including; a flower shop in Bushnell and the hospital in Macomb. She enjoyed going to the movies and taking long walks. She always held dear her many friendships and her greatest joy was her family. She was well known for her kind heart.
Those left to cherish her memory are; children, Teresa (Randall) Webb of Dixon, IL, David Morss of South Korea, Randolph (Robin) Morss of Osceola, FL; 8 grandchildren and1 great-grandchild. Her good friend Lynn Berg and her family will sharea special place in Kay’s heart forever.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Morss; a dear brother Eugene A. Woods; half-sisters, Madge Rundle and Betty Peterson and one niece, Lory Ann Hanley.
