Sue A. Johnston, 55, of Bushnell IL, died 5:10 A.M. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria IL.
She was born December 17, 1956 in Macomb, IL the daughter of James Ruben and Beverly (Sthel) Maloney. She was raised and educated in Bushnell, graduating from Bushnell High School in 1974.
She married David Burton in Bushnell in 1974. Sue married David Timothy Johnston in Bushnell on September 4, 1993 and he survives.
She worked at Vaughn and Bushnell Manufacturing for 22 years. She enjoyed reading and baking.
She was a member of the Checkrow Church.
Her family includes her husband, David, two sons, Neilson Burton and Benjamin Burton both of Bushnell, one daughter Justine Johnston of Bushnell, three brothers, Butch (Laretta) Maloney of Bushnell, James (Barb) Maloney of Bushnell and David Maloney of Prairie City, IL, her mother Beverly Maloney of Bushnell and sister-in-law, Debbie Maloney of Bushnell, along with nieces and nephews.
Her father and one brother Steve Maloney preceded her in death.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a Celebration of Life from 10:30 AM until 2:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Checkrow Church, Checkrow, IL. Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Checkrow Church or the American cancer society. Online condolences may be left at www.hooverhall.com
