Tamara Sloan

Tamara Sloan, 50, of Galesburg, IL, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born September 26, 1971 in Galesburg, the daughter of John Sloan and Rebecca Anderson. She was raised and educated in Avon and graduated from Avon High School.

Survivors include her children, Andrea Gowler and Chase Baldwin; grandson, Haigen K. Gowler; grandmother, Ila Sloan; mother, Rebecca; siblings, Roni Hunt, Shandy Martin, Tori Mathers and Casey Ashby. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, father and mother Mickey.

Tammie was a hard-working, loving person who always tried to help everyone. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Avon Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Tammie’s memory to help with funeral expenses and left in the care of the funeral home. Wise Family Funeral Home, Avon, is in charge of the arrangements.
