Telma R. Cassiday of Monmouth, IL passed away Friday September 8, 2017 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home Peoria, IL. She was born Monday July 1, 1929 in Oakville, IA the daughter of Elmo and Hazel Fran (Nyberg) Gesling. She married Ray J. Cassiday and they were married 40 years, he preceded her in July of 1987.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children Rose Starkey of Nebraska, and Linda Henry of Oquawka, IL; 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren; three sisters Clara May Pudwill of Santa Maria, CA, Nancy Gesling of Downey, CA, and Janie Sims of Paramount, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son (Dennis), 1 daughter (Ruth), 2 brothers (Leroy Elmo Gesling, and Virgil Ray Gesling).
She donated her time at the Jameson Center, and the Strom Center. She worked at Western Stoneware for 20 years.
Visitation will be Wednesday September 13, 2017 at the Wise Family Hoover Hall Funeral Home Monmouth, IL from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Jameson Center Meals on Wheels.
