Tracey Anne Williams, 42, of Monmouth died at 2:22 A.M. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at OSF Holy Family Hospital, Monmouth.
Tracey was born March 17, 1971 in Monmouth, the daughter of Penny Morris Stephenson. She was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1989. She went on to graduate from Western Illinois University with a B.S. in education in 1993. She also graduated with her master's degree in English literature from WIU.
Tracey married Rick Williams in Monmouth on March 22, 1997 and he survives.
She taught at Monmouth High School and Monmouth Roseville High School for 20 years in the English department where she was also head of the department. Tracey was also a cheerleading advisor, national honor society advisor and yearbook advisor. Her main interests in life were her family, friends and students whom her light always shined on.
Tracey was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Her family includes her husband, Rick; two sons, Nathan and Zach; daughter, Rachel; mother, Penny Stephenson of Monmouth; grandparents, Dick and Pauline Morris of Monmouth; sister, Krista (John) Lenover of Monmouth; uncle, Terry Morris of Monmouth; father and mother in-law, Paul (Joan) Williams; brother's-in-law, Roger (Leta) Williams, Andy Williams, Dan (Julie) Williams; sister-in-law, Mitzi (Jeff) Sharer, numerous nieces, nephews and a cousin.
Her stepfather, Toby Stevenson and aunt, Jill Morris preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Monmouth Roseville High School Gymnasium with Rev. Ken Muck. Friends may call on Friday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
